BBQ, Fried Chicken and "Where's the Will? presented by Sit A Spell Productions
In a living room in the south, three generations of southern women come together to deal with the death of their matriarch in a way that only southern women can... with comfort food, cigarettes, wine and of course each other. While eating mounds of BBQ and fried chicken, these women discover many wonderful truths including why people bring BBQ to a funeral; why a string of pearls defines a southern woman and why you should never show up at your own funeral wearing "some cheap tacky wig."

MaryAnn prepares for death gallantly by checking off a "before I go" list, creating a sweater in which she will "meet the Lord with her bells on", and most importantly, ensuring that her family and friends will survive without her. However, the Robertson women will soon discover MaryAnn's big secret... except no one can find the will. This touching survival story will teach you that "life isn't always happy, death doesn't always have to be sad, and hysterical laughter is normal. "

Key players:
Shanna Riker: Born and raised southern girl, I have heard my grandma say the phrase ""come and sit a spell"" more times than I could ever count. I have been acting since my stage debut at 5 years old as the Icicle in the kindergarten Christmas pageant. I received a BA in Theatre from Blue Mountain College in Mississippi. I am a member of the Snarks which is a private women's theatre club here in NYC. Some of my favorite roles include Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Olive in the Female Version of the Odd Couple, Moira in A Night in Provence, Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, and the undead school child in the Horseman's Hollow two years running. Since moving to NYC I have developed a passion for playwriting. I'm finding that results are actually quite charming.

Casey Rowe: A lighting designer/ actor by trade, Received a BA in theatre from William Carey University, in Mississippi.
