Online ticket sales end at Midnight on Friday, September 22. After then, pay at the dance.
On Sunday September 24, 2017 at Glen Echo Park's Spanish Ballroom, the Folklore Society of Greater Washington is proud to sponsor the 7th annual ContraStock Contradance festival. The dance goes from 1PM through 11PM. You are strongly encouraged to participate in the dance world's best potluck held during the dinner-time intermission (6-7PM), with either a main dish, side dish or dessert. Here are the dancing details:
The three bands performing are:
- The Ripples (1 PM)
- Pete's Posse (3:40 PM)
- Great Bear Band (7 PM)
At 9:40PM there will be an all-band, all-caller hoedown dance jam!
Callers will be Will Mentor, Cis Hinkle and Maggie Joe Saylor.
Ticket prices range from $25-$40 for all day. (No partial-day tickets.)

Buy your ticket with a T-shirt included for an extra $20:
- Regular T-shirts are Black, Royal Blue or Mint Green.
- Ladies Tank shirts are Royal Blue or Mint Green.
Shirt sizes are S, M, L, XL. We also have XS in ladies tanks and XXL in regular T-shirt.

or else email dance@fsgw.org with your T-shirt style, size and color.
T-shirts MUST be pre-ordered - We cannot sell T-shirts at the event.
