Gentlemen Of Few
DAY OF SHOW ONLINE TICKET SALES END 3PM. TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR!
Hailing all the way from the UK, Gentlemen Of Few are a 5-piece eclectic blend of old-time bluegrass and classic rock with skillful vocal harmonies and powerful lyrics. BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Finalists, Gentlemen of Few perform their music with a raw passion and intense energy hardly to be believed, giving them an almighty sound that they've coined as "Nugrass".
Gentlemen of Few were formed along the South-East coast of England in 2009, founded by four young musicians, Elliott Norris (guitar, vocals, percussion), Reece Forward (bass, lead vocals), Kit Evans (banjo, vocals) and Jarrod Piner, who each found a vast pleasure in their ensemble work as students. For this tour (their first in the U.S.!) they are joined by Oscar Lloyd on trumpet and backing vocals.
2012 saw their first record released as a six-track Extended Programme named "For All We Know" which included some of the boys' earliest songs. And it was with a great deal of help that they held a launch of the EP in their home town of Deal which, after so much preparation, was a complete success, a sellout show that helped the boys establish themselves as a prominent local act. Since then they've gained five years' experience of performing their shows to a plethora of welcoming audiences and dedicated fans across the UK and Scotland in venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, London; The Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone and The Forum, and Tunbridge Wells to name a few, as well as prominent festivals such as Tiree Music Festival 2014/15, Scotland; Secret Garden Party 2014, Cambridgeshire; Boomtown Fair 2014/15, Hampton and even supporting the likes of "The Blockheads", "The Beat" and "Hayseed Dixie"!
"Fusing an old time bluegrass sound with a youthful English vigour, impeccable harmonies and song craft way beyond their years. Mighty impressive." - Smugglers Records
"So young yet so amazing" - Chris Evans, Radio 2
"Incredible live sound" - BBC Radio Kent
