Pitching for Scary Cow with Alexa Fraser-Herron
This class will help you prepare for the Scary Cow Pitch Meeting on Sunday, July 16th. Learn how to deliver a pitch that attracts the collaborative crew needed to make your film come to life.

Being a Scary Cow member for 8 years and having heard hundreds of pitches, Alexa brings a wealth of observations and experience to the table, offering a workshop tailor-made for both new and seasoned members who are interested in building and refining their pitching techniques.

Please bring any ideas and pitches in progress for the workshop portion of the class.

Highlights include:
- Essential components of a pitch
- Common mistakes to avoid
- Identifying and expressing the theme of your story
- Generating excitement
- How the pitch process in Scary Cow works
- What makes a pitch stand out to fellow Scary Cow members
- Constructive feedback on your pitch

Instructor Bio:
Alexa Fraser-Herron most recently produced the award-winning Scary Cow short Mini Supreme which opened the Palm Springs International ShortFest. Her most recent venture in producing, Real Artists, is currently on the festival circuit and has been thus far screened at Cinequest, San Francisco Film Festival, and Cannes.

She pitched Eat Pray Whatever at her first Scary Cow Pitch Meeting in Round 7. Despite being new to Scary Cow and unknown to virtually all of its members at the time, she rallied a small crew and won budget with the short when it debuted at the Castro Theatre a short 4 months later. She's kept busy ever since, helming her own projects as well as lending support to many award-winning productions within Scary Cow. With a background in fine art and critique, Alexa brings a unique perspective to filmmaking and its myriad processes along with a warm and humorous approach in aiding Scary Cow members to make their films and be scary.

This class is free to members and not open to the public. If you'd like to bring a friend or co-conspirator, they must join Scary Cow to attend.
