Margarita Nuller, piano
Renowned Russian pianist Margarita Nuller returns to the New School of music to play the solo piano music of Haydn, Schumann, and NSM founder, Nicholas Van Slyck. All proceeds from this concert will benefit the New School of Music Scholarship Fund.
Ms. Nullers repertoire includes major works from the piano literature such as all 32 Beethoven Sonatas, all Chopin Etudes, Scherzos and Sonatas among others. Since her arrival in the United States in 1990, she has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in the New York metropolitan area and in New England. Margarita Nuller has also played recitals in Brazil, Russia, Spain, and Portugal. She has been soloist with the Arkansas Symphony (AK), Danbury Symphony (CT), Klassika Orchestra (St. Petersburg, Russia), Orchestra Temple Beth (CT), and Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico. Ms. Nuller played her debut recital at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City as a winner of the Artist International Auditions. Her CD of Russian music was released on LArt label in 2003. She has attended many summer festivals including the SIPO in Ă“bidos (Portugal), the Shandelee Festival (NY), and Music in the Palaces Festival in St. Petersburg (Russia). Furthermore, she has taught at the University of Hartford (CT), the Moussorgsky College of Music (Russia), and the Connecticut Conservatory in New Milford (CT).
