Joe Lovitt New Years Eve Show
Comedian Joe Lovitt has appeared on Twin Cities Standup, Real Comedy, and Comedy Central. He has also appeared in the nationwide film experiment, Nation Undead, and bled half to death in the independent horror feature, Unholy Reunion.
On New Years Eve, December 31, 2012, Joe will bring his comedy to the Anoka American Legion Post 102 in Anoka for one show at 8:00PM. General Admission ticket prices are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. Dinner and show tickets are $24.95 in advance and $29.95 the day of the show.
"Joe Lovitt has spent the last 15 years making a name for himself as a thinking man's standup comic who works both clean and clever. If you've ever read a book even if it's Charlotte's Web you'll like Joe."
The moment you see Joe Lovitt, you'll recognize him from somewhere. Joe has been a television news reporter and film critic for ABC News and most recently, he was a field reporter for HGTV. In addition to standup comedy, Joe also maintains a busy career as a voice talent and actor, with acclaimed roles in two musicals in the past year -- Funny Business at Hennepin Stages and How To Mow The Lawn at the Old Arizona Theatre. You've heard Joe in hundreds of radio spots, and you've seen him in dozens of commercials and infomercials.
Joe's material ranges from observational to current affairs, from high tech to low brow, and from family friendly to frat boy bawdy. He takes his audience on a journey from the breakfast table to family road trips, past the high school to the bar on the corner and into the church next door just for good measure. It's all done with a smile and a gentility that makes him just as popular in a Christian nightclub as he is in clubs and bars across the Midwest.
Joe worked as a writer/director at a Twin Cities ad agency before it went bankrupt (are you seeing a pattern here?). Then he became a nationally-known commercial voice and on-camera talent who also appears frequently in theatrical productions in the Twin Cities. Now he brings to the standup comedy stage his take on politics, media, families, talking goldfish, and dangerous bed sheets. He survives with the help of the world's most understood dog, the world's most misunderstood children and the world's most intelligent, sexy and beautiful wife (who proofreads all his promotional materials).
