Defiance: A Benefit to Rebuild Red Hook, Brooklyn - online sales have ended; tickets and raffle tickets available at the the door
Tin House and the Portland Brooklyn Project host a fundraiser to benefit one of the Brooklyn neighborhoods most devastated by Hurricane Sandy: Red Hook.

The event title, "Defiance," shares the name of a Red Hook fundraiser held on November 14th in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Authors reading include Jon Raymond, Karen Karbo, Nancy Rommelmann, and Peter Carlin.
Kin Trio (Sunjae Lee (saxophones), André St. James (contrabass) & Tim DuRoche (drums) with special guest Noah Bernstein (saxophones)) and Casey Neill will perform music sets through the evening.

Fare generously donated by Mother's Bistro, Cupcake Jones, Kenny & Zukes and Ristretto Roasters. Full bar available.

All proceeds go to Red Hook Initiative and Restore Red Hook.
