"You've Marched for a Cause, Now What?" Brunch
Join the DC EcoWomen community for a brunch discussion about what it takes to galvanize ideas into action and learn from experiences of leaders in the field. During this workshop, you will participate in three focused conversations about building coalitions around a common purpose, establishing communities of practice, and taking action to keep equity in the fore of process.
Dr. Adrienne Hollis, Ph.D., JD of WEACT for Environmental Justice will discuss what it takes to instigate an idea and motivate a group of people around a common purpose.
Tanja Crk, Scientist and Chair of Society for Conservation Biology will discuss her experience of building communities of practice and networks of information for sharing innovative ideas and lessons learned.
Emma Cheuse, litigator for Earthjustice, will discuss putting the activist rubber to the road and taking action through writing comments for federal regulations' public comments periods on behalf of Earthjustice and in combination with other environmental community groups.
