Small Business Lunch at Halls
The Hall Family is honored to present one of our greatest American Heroes, Medal of Honor Recipient, Maj. Gen. James E. Livingston, Thursday, December 6, at Small Business Lunch at Halls. General Livingston is a published author and, after a long and distinguished military career, continues to consult with numerous companies and serves on several boards.
Major General James E. Livingston retired on September 1, 1995 following over 33 continuous years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. His last assignment was the Commander of the Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans, Louisiana.
After graduating from Auburn University he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in June 1962. Promoted to Captain in June 1966, General Livingston served as the Commanding Officer of the Marine detachment aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wasp, before joining the 3d Marine Division (Reinforced) in the Republic of Vietnam in August 1967.
On May 2, 1968, while serving as the Commanding Officer, Company E, 2d Battalion, 4th Marines, he distinguished himself above and beyond the call of duty in action against enemy forces and earned the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Each month, Small Business Lunch at Halls features a distinguished speaker from the business, civic or political arenas upstairs at Halls Chophouse with imaginative mid-day cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Matthew Niessner.
Tickets are $28 per person for the luncheon and parking. Doors open at 11:30 AM. Limited seating of 60 participants provides an intimate experience with each speaker.
Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street in downtown Charleston. Parking, validated at the event, is available at the Visitors Center Garage on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets.
