Here are two great opportunities to enjoy a free puppet show and try your hand at making a puppet. These events are made possible through grants from the Waltham Cultural Council and the Watertown Cultural Council which receive funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The shows and workshops are open to children of all ages, but designed for young children. July 9 features Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals. July 16 features Mudeye Puppets. Shows last 30 minutes and are preceded by a short workshop on making a simple puppet from recycled materials. Each show is restricted to a total of 50 people, including accompanying adults. Reservations are required.
