Bindlestiff Studio presents TAGALOG 2017 with SUPERTITLES in English!!!
Bindestiff Studio in collaboration with Virgin Lab Fest is once again proud to present Tagalog, a festival of one-acts. Tagalog is a festival of one acts entirely in the Philippine native language of Tagalog. This production features new works from the Virgin Lab Fest in the Philippines to the South of Market stage at Bindlestiff Studio, happily connecting the rich practice of theater on both sides of the Pacific.
Visconde Carlo Vergaras "Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady" (How I Came to be the Leading Lady). Sisters Mely and Viva turn a small grudge Into a battle between good and evil. Directed by Allan S. Manalo
Dominique Beatrice T. La Victorias "Ang Bata sa Drum" (The Child in the Drum) A young brother and sister ponder life and chickens. Directed by Joe Cascasan Vincent de Jesus "Changing Partners". A musical about four couples and one complicated May-December romance. Directed by Aureen Almario & Tonilyn Sideco and Musical Director Rhoda Gravador.
Featuring Kathlyn Cabrera, Richgail Enriquez, Nic Feliciano, Faye-Denise Lacanilao, Ryan Morales, Russelle McDermott, Jeffrey Ramos, Lee Robin Salazar, and Paula Sison.
Community Preview (Pay-What-You-Can), July 13 Opening July 14 through July 29, matinee July 22 Tickets: General $15, Students/Seniors $10, Support-the-Artist $25. Group rate, $12.50, for parties of 6 or more. Early bird tickets, $12, available for the first week of shows.
