THE SNOW QUEEN - a dance recital production
A Goblin creates a magic mirror that shows only the ugliness inside. When the mirror breaks, a small shard enters the heart of a young boy. His heart freezes which draws the attention of the Snow Queen. She takes him away from his friends and family, and his best friend Gerda sets out to find him. She is delayed through interactions with royalty, robbers and talking animals and flowers - but eventually finds her friend and tries to save him from a life of ugliness. Based on the tale by Hans Christian Andersen, the production offers a unique blend of theater and dance, as Vagabond Acting Troupe teams up with Corner Arts Center building partner, Remix Dance Studio. Particularly fun for those with a love of dance and fairy tales.
