14/48 & Nordo: Food Theater Thunderdome III
14/48: Nordo combines the pressure-cooker of The Worlds Quickest Theater Festival with the immersive experience and culinary excellence of Café Nordo.
On the Sunday night of each week, four playwrights are paired with four chefs, given a random ingredient and a common theme, a randomly selected director and a randomly drawn cast. They will have four days to write, rehearse, prepare recipes for, and serve our audience the fruits of their labors on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights: four plays interwoven with a four-course meal.
The Week 2 Menu!

Soup - Chef Tim Hodgson (must include mint) Watermelon mint gazpacho with sacrificial cheese (seared haloumi)

The 14/48 Projects produces all iterations of The Worlds Quickest Theater Festival, Theater Anonymous, and many more social theatrical events in Seattle and is developing network of 14/48 Festivals nationally with 14/48: Austin, and internationally with 14/48: Leicester, 14/48: Wolverhampton, and 14/48: London! The 14/48 Projects Partner Program offers producing support to independent artists, helping send Jennifer Jasper's Etymology to compete in the finals of (and win!) The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival and launching Rachel Atkins Voyage for Madmen in early 2015.
Since 2009, Café Nordo has served up modern cuisine while thrilling audiences with the history, myth, science and politics of food. In April 2015 Café Nordo opened A Seattle institution (Huffington Post), the permanent venue Nordos Culinarium, in the former home of the Elliott Bay Book Company in Pioneer Squares Globe Building. The first theater to return to this beloved neighborhood in over a decade, Nordos Culinarium offers unique, year-round live entertainment integrating food and drink.
Due to the nature of the show, dietary restrictions may not be accommodated, however, a vegetarian option will be available for performance. Please notify your server upon arrival. Please email chefnordo@cafenordo.com with any questions.
