On Friday evening, September 1st, the Historic Flight Foundation hangar becomes a dinner club from the 1940s. Wear your zoot suit, floral print dress, or your favorite military uniform from the WWII era. Hats recommended if you intend to compete for the best costume awards.
The food promises to be excellent and the wine, free flowing, all to enhance your enjoyment of the seventeen-piece "Kings of Swing," an orchestra tracing its history to 1942. Indeed, some of the current players are grandchildren of the originals. Vocalists and professional swing dancers transport you to an earlier time.
And for your entertainment, enjoy Bill Johnson, an internationally regarded reenactor of Bob Hope and his famous WWII USO shows. Bob will be joined on stage by Company B, a spirited tribute to the Andrews Sisters.
This is a great opportunity to get into the spirit of Vintage Aircraft Weekend which continues on Saturday and Sunday.
At least sixty-five vintage aircraft are expected on the HFF and adjacent Boeing ramp. Stroll in the twilight among fine examples of aviation heritage.
Carriages at 10.

A unique aspect of this event is the opportunity to learn swing dancing from professionals. Our guest dancers are known for their patience. They impart just enough skill that most everyone becomes comfortable on the dance floor by the end of the evening.
You won't regret this one!
