SKYSCRAPER - A Musical Comedy
Tim dreams of creating beautiful buildings. Roger dreams of a film festival. Burt dreams of actually pleasing his old man. Georgina daydreams about everything, while everybody else just wishes she'd live in the real world for at least a few minutes a day. Especially her long suffering parents. This charming piece, which is quintessentially New York brings together the perils and pleasures of urbanization, and the challenges of finding love. What else does any New Yorker thinks about?
Not seen in New York City since its original brief run in 1965, Regeneration Theatre is proud to bring Skyscraper back to Manhattan and introduce it to a new audience. Sammy Cahn and James Van Heusen's swinging score, alongside Peter Stone's playful book combining urbanization, film appreciation, sexism and Elmer Rice's evergreen romantic comedy "Dream Girl" are sure to provide something for everybody.
