Book Discussion: Kindred
More than 35 years after its initial publication, Octavia E. Butler's best-selling novel "Kindred" continues to enthrall readers with its emotionally gripping story of an African American woman in the 1970s who is suddenly transported back in time to the antebellum South of her ancestors. Finding herself thrust into the dehumanizing life of a plantation slave, she must make hard choices to ensure her own future existence. Book group facilitator Judith Palarz leads an in-depth discussion.
Event will be in Classroom Seaver 3 of the Munger Research Center.
