Take a Collage Vacation at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art!
Television news got you down? You deserve an escape to the land of cut-and-paste, in a workshop led by Deborah Faye Lawrence. Join Seattle's award-winning satirical collagist as we pillage magazines and make beautiful art of the remnants. Collage allows our intuitive picture-making skills to surface, as we experiment with stream-of-consciousness and basic design. Whether you choose to depict your Fantasy Vacation, Revenge Fantasy Vacation, or Recovery Vacation, there is room for you at the table.
Deborah Faye Lawrence, MFA, teaches collage workshops in Washington and California. She is a Creative Capital Awardee and 2015 winner of the Irving and Yvonne Twining Humber Award for Creative Excellence in Visual Art from Artist Trust. She teaches in the Arts Leadership MFA Program at Seattle University.
Saturday August 5, 2017 | 10am-4pm | BIMA Classroom
