Casting for Community: Sculpture Workshop and Iron Pour
Calling all ages - Now is your chance to make a cast metal sculpture.
Carve and cast a metal sculpture! Sign-up for a workshop and learn how to translate your design into an open faced sand mold that will be filled with molten metal at the public iron pour.
Students will gain a basic understanding of metal casting and come away with an object of their design.
All ages are welcome. No previous experience required. Families with young children can work together.
Extra molds will be available at the pour for last minute enthusiasts.
Workshops: Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 am and Wednesday, July 19 at 6:00 pm
Public Iron Pour: Saturday, July 22 at noon (rain date Sunday, July 23)
Fee $30 per mold
