That's Him! is the second album by American jazz vocalist Abbey Lincoln featuring tracks recorded in 1957 for the Riverside label. She was accompanied by quite an all-star roster: tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins, trumpeter Kenny Dorham, pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Max Roach. Even this early, she was already a major jazz singer with a style of her own.
The ALC 8tet plays original music ranging from straight ahead jazz to R & B. Alex has won multiple awards for his original compositions, most notably a Downbeat Magazine award for "The Big Lebowski Suite." Alex is the co-leader of the Brian Thomas/Alex Lee-Clark Big Band, a group of the top players in Boston in an all funk big band, who's music you can find at www.btalcbigband.com.
