Chuckanut Radio Hour 6th Anniversary Show
It's hard to believe that the Chuckanut Radio Hour has now been around for six years. But then, even Baywatch made it for ten years (twelve, if you count Baywatch Hawaii). Sometimes there's just no accounting for taste. So, if you haven't already had enough of the Chuckanut Radio Hour, join us on Thursday, January 31st to relive some of the highlights of our sixth year. There will be live music by our original house band, The Walrus; a new essay by Cascadia Weekly columnist Alan Rhodes; poetry by house poet Kevin Murphy; and a brand new episode of "The Bellingham Bean." We'll also show clips from some of the best moments of our 2012 shows, seriously, there were a few.
The Chuckanut Radio Hour is a radio variety show that began in January 2007. The show is hosted by Village Books co-owners Chuck & Dee Robinson, featuring Rich Donnelly as the announcer. The Radio Hour's first guest was Erik Larson and has since included William Dietrich, Elizabeth George, Alexander McCall Smith, Sherman Alexie, Tom Robbins and Garrison Keillor, among many others. The Radio Hour airs every Saturday evening at 6pm and Sunday at 9pm on KMRE 102.3FM.
Tickets for the Chuckanut Radio Hour are $5 and are also available at Village Books. Doors open at 6:30pm, and you must be seated by 6:45pm as the show begins promptly at 7pm. Co-sponsored by the Leopold Retirement Residence, 12th Street Shoes, Fairhaven Pizza & Fairhaven Village Inn.
