Geometry & Gems
From the golden ratio to the pentagram, geometry has played a vital role in a range of metaphysical practices that have been used in the creation of jewelry and adornment for hundreds of years.
Equally as vital has been the use of stones and crystals, considered to have additional properties far beyond what can be observed with the naked eye. Exploring the intersection of these two elements, the hands-on making workshop Geometry & Gems teaches how to work with gems and geometry to create one of a kind, wearable pieces of jewelry.
Through different cold working techniques with the jeweler's saw, students will craft their very own geometrically inspired works that utilize both these rich traditions.
