Gabe Noah with Chris Maddock
If you attend only one comedy show this year, you probably hate comedy (trust us, it's mutual). And you're running out of time. Lucky for you, we've got one you're going to love. Gabe Noah and Chris Maddock personify the ambitious, cutting-edge comedy that's come to define the Minneapolis scene. Both headliners in their own right, they share the stage for one can't-miss night. Basically, you're getting two shows for the price of one. Even if you're one of those once-a-year assholes, you have to admit that's a pretty good deal. And since you probably didn't come to any of our shows last year, you already owe us one. 2012 is almost over. If you attend only two comedy shows this year, this is the one! GABE NOAH Gabe started his writing career as an aspiring novelist, until he figured out that its easier to write jokes than well-rounded characters, and applause breaks come along more often than three-book deals. If there is any truth to the old adage that you write what you know, than Mr. Noah inhabits a twisted world indeed, drawing from such disparate sources as pop culture, the tribulations of the world of retail sales, and the darkest recesses of his warped imagination. His ability to double audiences over with laughter while simultaneously attacking their sensibilities clearly marks him as one of the most original comedic voices of the vibrant Minneapolis comedy scene. CHRIS MADDOCK City Pages recently said about Chris Maddock: "No one can deny that Maddock is a fast-rising star on the local standup scene and a man poised to possibly be a breakout star in the not-so-distant future." Chris Maddock comes from the land of sun-kissed beer guts, beautiful Stillwater, Minnesota. His succinct observations, comedic integrity and gut-busting moustache appreciation has taken him from the grand mining towns of the Iron Range to the back-alley hovels of New York City and back again. He won the 2008 Laughing Liberally contest, earning him the opportunity to open for Jim David in front of a sold-out crowd at the Ordway Theatre in St. Paul. Chris' brutally honest and honestly brutal form of comedy have made him a Twin Cities comic to watch.
