Summer Solstice Water Break Flotilla Music Stops
Join us on Saturday, June 24 for a paddle on down the Fox River! Ultimate destination? The Summer Solstice Festival at Riverfront Park in downtown Yorkville!
At 8:30, Kendall Area Transit buses will shuttle us from downtown Yorkville to the put-in site; Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego. Once in Oswego, you will find your boat/canoe/kayak and proper safety equipment, proper safety instruction, and expert guidance on navigating the river.
By 9:30, we're all in canoes and ready to shove on down the Fox River.
By 10:30, we're all offloaded at a secret, exclusive location only accessible by boat/canoe/kayak!
10:30-11:45 - Acoustic, yet very much amplified, show from The Giving Tree Band!!!
12:15-1:30 - We make our way down the mighty Fox River to Riverfront Park! There, you'll be given the Gift of Pizza courtesy of our brothers and sisters at Rosati's Pizza Pub, Yorkville. You'll also enjoy a complimentary wristband and drink token to enjoy the fine selection of craft beers offered at the festival.
Tickets are $60 per individual. Included is bus transport to put-in site, your seat in a boat/canoe/kayak, safety equipment, expert guidance, access to the Giving Tree Band performance location, pizza lunch, a wristband for beer purchase at Summer Solstice Craft Beer & Indie Music Festival (Must be 21+), and a drink token redeemable at Summer Solstice Festival.
This is a physical event. Participants should expect to navigate their boat/canoe/kayak, and be of reasonable health and strength to engage in some brief hiking.
