Performance Intensive with Alok Vaid-Menon

Black & PoC participants of all artistic backgrounds and disciplines are invited to join for an intimate and intensive creative workshop facilitated by trans performance artist Alok Vaid-Menon and South African artist and organizer Thozama Njobe. Alok & Thozama will guide participants through a series of exercises to take participants from the page to the stage and back again. With an emphasis on trauma, sexuality, legacy, embodiment, and gender we will work together to create art that is both meaningful and impactful. We will begin by creating original written work and then focus on refining performance techniques.
