Tellabration - Dead As A Doornail
The Eureka Inn is haunted, with storytellers undaunted, for "Dead as a Doornail", an elegant evening of good old fashioned folktales, legends, and myths with a spooky perspective featuring Paul Woodland and Carpathian.
Come if you dare to an evening of stories and songs for grownups at the Historic Eureka Inn as part of Tellabration.
Tellabration is a world wide event celebrating the ancient art of storytelling and it's hosted locally by verbal artist Paul Woodland, an authentic practitioner of the oral tradition.
Tellabration will take place on Saturday, November 17, at the Eureka Inn (518 7th Street). Showtime is 7 o'clock in the evening.
Ticket are $10.00 and available at the Eureka Inn or brownpapertickets.com. Information can be obtained by contacting Paul Woodland (441 9424) or plw3@humboldt.edu
Paul Woodland has studied and performed, lived and breathed storytelling for almost 20 years now. He's gathered tales of turkey vultures and King Solomon, told of cookies and milk and things that go bump in the night. He shares them with joy and skill, both in live performance and on his program The Whippy Dip Radio Show (KHSU).
Carpathian is an exceptional amalgamation of spoken word artist, actor and spine tingling storyteller. He is the most affable apparition since Casper (The Friendly Ghost) but his puns are deadly.
