So it's holiday time. Lots of food, family and fun....right? Right. Well, there's also a goodly amount of *travel* involved for many people around this point of the year, so we here at the AMIA Student Chapter thought it would be fitting to pair up two films that showcase traveling in the most humorous and charming of capacities, and all on 35mm!
Please join the AMIA Student Chapter on Friday, NOVEMBER 30, 2012, as we present two classics of mobilized madness for yet another fantastic fundraising edition of SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW!
7:30pm TWENTIETH CENTURY (Howard Hawks, 1934)
9:30pm PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES (John Hughes, 1987)
In addition, we are also incredibly HONORED to be welcoming Oscar-winning editor, Paul Hirsch to the New Beverly to join us to discuss his work on PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES for the Q&A! His past work is as varied as PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE, STAR WARS and FOOTLOOSE, and as recent as MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL. We are very excited to have him as part of this!
As usual, more announcements are to come, a raffle will be had and more fun and games!
Can't wait to see you there!
