Tea in the Carriage House
Enjoy an afternoon tea in the beautifully restored 1793 Carriage House at Gore Place. The tea will feature 3 varieties of tea from purveyor Mark T. Wendell. The ticket price includes an opportunity to view floral designs in 20 rooms of the gorgeous 1806 Gore mansion. You may arrive anytime between 2:00pm and 3:45pm. Seating is communal at tables of 7.
Gore Place is the Historic National Landmark estate of Christopher and Rebecca Gore. Christopher served as governor and US Senator for Massachusetts. Rebecca is credited with designing the mansion. Together, they created an idyllic oasis in what was then rural Waltham. Today, the 50 acre estate with its mansion and carriage house provide the ideal setting for this lovely afternoon of tea and beautiful floral design.
Mark T. Wendell Tea Co. is one of the countrys oldest and most storied tea importers providing fine teas to tea enthusiasts for over a century. They offer a full range of estate grown specialty teas, signature tea blends, herbal and fruit tisanes, and imported packaged tea brands.
