Digital Ink Transfer Workshop with Tracy Lang
In this one day workshop you will learn the multi-step process of digital ink transfer; starting with the selection of a favorite photograph, to working with gel medium, to cutting and printing your own lino block. You will leave at the end of the day with a multi-layered, finished piece of art on a 12"x12" cradled wood panel. All materials provided. Workshop is from 10am to 4pm with an optional conversation & critique from 4 to 5pm.
Tracy Lang spent the first part of her career perfecting watercolor, the second part making giant woodcut prints, and now works in between the two. She uses digital color and thick ink to create storyboards of yet to be lived experience. You can find her at her tattoo parlor in Winslow on Bainbridge Island. For fun she works on the boat and takes long hikes with the family up mountains and on ocean beaches.
Tracy Lang is featured in BIMA's group show, Revering Nature, currently on view in the Feferman Gallery through June 4, 2017.
