THE FRED ALLEN SHOW - Based on the writings of Fred Allen Adapted for the stage by Rory Lance - NYSUMMERFEST FESTIVAL COMPETITION 2017
From 1932 to 1949, one of the most beloved names in Radio was the comedian, Fred Allen. Allens innovations in broadcast comedy are still the standards that are used today. The Fred Allen Show attempts to trace Fred Allens early career as he struggles from vaudeville, to Broadway, to being the one radio program that FDR would never miss.
