John Overton High School was originally constructed in 1957. There have been multiple additions to the school over the past 58 years. The current addition & renovation project will improve campus security, vehicular circulation, and internal building circulation. The cafeteria and library will relocate to the north side of the campus where the new bus drop-off area will be located. The existing library and cafeteria spaces will become new Administration offices and learning spaces. The Band Room will be expanded, and an interior connection from the Band Room to the new cafeteria will be constructed. A library connector and two classroom connectors will also be constructed to improve interior circulation. A new bus loop will be added on the north side of the school. Site and landscape work will be completed for the interior courtyards as well.
