Form & Function
EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.
Form follows function, mind influences body, ecosystems seek balance, an act of random kindness can tip the balance of a day. We witness these intersections every day at Floataway Community, where we work in industrial warehouses reborn as creative loft office space and walk through community gardens reclaimed from brownfields.
The 2017 Form & Function speaker forum at Floataway Community will explore the intersections between nature and design, mind and body, art and community, and more. Guests will enjoy complimentary food and drink from neighborhood restaurants and local brewhouses preceding a short presentation by the evenings VIP speaker. Each lecture will be followed by an interactive workshop, activity or discussion designed to give event guests the rare opportunity to connect in a meaningful way with presenting speakers. Proceeds from this quarterly series directly support Zonolite Park and Nickel Bottom Garden.
