New Year's Eve party with Mark DuFresne & Matney Cook at the Conway Muse

The Mark DuFresne Band plays upstairs for a great Renaissance Room dance of blues and rhythm & blues music. Dufresne's work on the chromatic harmonica is considered as some of the most innovative in Blues music, and his skill at circular breathing consistently leaves audiences amazed. The Washington Blues Society has awarded him best vocalist, songwriter and harmonica more than any other artist. Mark was lead vocalist for Roomful of Blues from 2002 to 2006, and who won the W.C. Handy award for Best Band in 2004.

The band members are Mark DuFresne (vocal and harmonica),
Tim Lerch (Guitar), Alan Issacson (drums), and Kelly Leifer (bass).

Down in our intimate performance space, the Parlor, you'll find our local girl sensation Matney Cook entertaining with her band, the Mudflat Walkers.

The Mud Flat Walkers combine sounds from gypsy klesmer to honkey tonk rock to sultry jazz with their four member ensemble. Fueled by songs written by Matney Cook and their mutal passion for music you'll be enthralled by the range of emotions and sounds this group moves through. Be ready for a trip back in time from a whole new perspective as their style touches base with folk sounds from many cultures.

Open for dinner at 6pm, served until 11pm. Mark DuFresne plays for dancing in the Renaissance Room from 9pm to midnight, Matney Cook plays in our intimate Parlor from 7:30pm until 2am.

Both bands all night for just $25 per person.
