As part of our "Yet She Is Fierce" season, the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival proudly presents "Macbeth," directed by Jesse James Kamps. Have you ever wondered what your future holds? Macbeth knows his. The Scottish soldier has his entire future laid at his feet by three mysterious women in the woods. He knows he will be Thane of Cawdor, and then King of Scotland. He also knows that his brother in arms, Banquo, not Macbeth and his wife, will father the heir to the Scottish throne. "Macbeth" is about Fate. In striving to command it, the young and ambitious Macbeth becomes the tyrant we all fear. Join Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival this summer for a brisk, contemporary production of Shakespeare's classic tale of ambition, love, and the supernatural. Please note that "Macbeth" contains scenes of violence, including murder.
For the best seats, come early! All performances at the Museum of Northern Arizona are outdoors beneath a canvas roof, with contingencies for monsoon weather. Dress for the weather!
