Positive, the Play
Written by Jamaican award-winning playwright Trevor Rhone, "POSITIVE" is a gripping, informative and entertaining play which examines the challenges and realities of people grappling with the psycho-social, sexual and economic issues of HIV/AIDS. The drama of it never plays second fiddle or drum to the laughter. The production also presents a graphic insight of the impact of the economics on sexual practices and its influence on unsafe sex.
Positive is a play dealing with HIV/AIDS, sexual health and responsibility as it relates to the Jamaican situation. It involves ten varied characters from a Safe Sex activist, to a nun, to an evangelical pastor, and teenage sex worker.
