Pardee Carriage House Salon - Learning the Secrets of Oakland's Historic House Museums - A Virtual Tour
Come on a journey around 19th century Oakland and learn about the families that made Oakland the beautiful, vibrant city it became. Meet the Pardee, Hellman, Camron, Cohen and Peralta families and the houses they lived in. What mysteries will be revealed? Learn about the weddings, the births and the deaths associated with these historic families and how their lives helped shaped Oakland.
Oakland historians Annalee Allen and Gene Anderson give a talk about the architecture, interiors and pictures of these early Oaklanders and their homes. After the lecture, a question and answer period will follow. We then are off to the Pardee Home dining room for a beautiful champagne and appetizer reception.
