LSPAC Summer Theater Academy 2017
Focused two week course covering the basics of character development, voice control and projection, stage movement, dialects, make-up, costuming, improvisation and the other elements that go into performing musical theater.
Activities include theater games, STEAM activities, and guest speakers from the professional performing arts world.
At the conclusion of the academy, students will stage and perform an original musical play 'American Celebration', written by local
author Jetta Jean Reynolds.
This play presents a view of American from a children's perspective.
Hours are 8:30 to 4:00 daily, Monday through Friday.
Attendees should bring a packed lunch and snack.
Home schoolers can receive academic credit for their participation.
Cost $150 for the two week session. Enroll now, slots are limited.
