ARCADE Spring Salon: A Conversation with Bill Buxton
Bill Buxton is a designer, writer, researcher, and currently holds the position of Principal Researcher at Microsoft. He was educated in music, has a masters degree in computer science and has spent 30 years observing how people use technology, while applying those insights to the human-computer interaction field. His interests also include film, literature and art. Hes been awarded four honorary doctorate degrees, has received numerous professional awards, and has given dozens of talks on his many interests. As an accomplished equestrian, cyclist, and outdoors-man, Bill is a true renaissance man of the information age.
Andrew van Leeuwen, and Kevin Eckert, owners of BUILD llc and regular ARCADE contributors, will engage Bill in a conversation about his design philosophy and his relentless pursuit of innovation, human values and the experience of design.
