Opening the Circle: A Day of Radical Hospitality and Radical Exploration
Opening the Circle: A Day of Radical Hospitality & Radical Exploration
June 17, 2017 1:00 - 8:00 pm
The Hivery, Mill Valley

A healthy literary ecosystem relies on the interconnection of women.

Four women-centered organizationsHedgebrook, Moxie Road Productions, The Hivery, and All Things Bookhave come together to empower you during this day of radical hospitality and radical exploration. When youre nourished, creatively and physically, you have the resources to make change.

1:00 - 5:00 p.m. WRITE, CREATE, LUXURIATE
Come to the award-winning womens co-working space The Hivery in idyllic downtown Mill Valley. Indulge in four hours of whatever fuels you. Writing on the deck with a cup of tea? Nestling in a nook with pen in hand? Meditating with Betsy Ryen of Soulstice Mind Body Spa? Weve got you covered.

5:00 - 6:00 p.m. COCKTAIL HOUR AND DINNER
Connect with other like-minded women and browse our bookstore (and get your free book courtesy of MRP and All Things Book)

6:00 - 8:00 p.m. DIG DEEP
Explore what it means to be a changemaker. Our evening concludes with a probing discussion, Writing Beyond the Bubble. How can each of us contribute to a healthy literary ecosystem? How does each of us contribute to a healthy literary ecosystem?

With award-winning writers and activists Aya de León (Uptown Thief, The Boss), Nayomi Munaweera (Island of a Thousand Mirrors, What Lies Between Us), Julia Park Tracey (Tongues of Angels, poet Laureate of Alameda) and moderated by MRP co-founder Janine Kovac (Brain Changer: A Mothers Guide to Cognitive Science).
