As a classical harpist, Susan Mazer performed with the Detroit Symphony and the English Royal Ballet. Susan lived in San Francisco for 12 years, where she became known as a top jazz harpist. She then had a long tenure playing at Harrahs Lake Tahoe, performing as a soloist with such artists as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Julio Iglesias, Loretta Lynn, John Denver, and others. Susan is the only jazz harpist to ever perform at the famous Village Vanguard in New York City, where she played with jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal. Bringing both classical virtuosity and jazz fluidity to her music, Susan has been described by guitarist and vocalist George Benson as the Charlie Parker of the harp.
Dallas Smith has long been a leading woodwind musician in both jazz and world music, moving easily between the complex and exciting rhythms of Indian fusion, the complex world of jazz, and his own compositions, which blend them in manner that is refreshing and enticing. His performances and recordings feature the silk melodic quality of the flute, the sensual richness of the saxophone and clarinet, and the magic of the electric wind instrument. Dallas has toured extensively in the U.S., Europe, and India, performing with such greats as Ahmad Jamal, Steven Halpern, and Zakir Hussein.
