Event
SOMM-inar
We are happy to host Matthew Carroll of European Cellars and Eric Solomon Selections as he introduces the audience to the world of Grenache.
Grenache (aka Garnacha) is the world's most heavily planted grape variety. It thrives in Australia, California, Spain and of course its origin (debatable), the Rhone Valley.
Whether it's the major ingredient in the blends of Cote Rotie, Chateauneuf Du Pape or standing alone in a Barossa Valley offering, Grenache's flavor profile is unmistakable.
Matthew will unlock secrets to deciphering tasting "clues" based on terroir as well as winemaking techniques and discuss the nuances of this often misunderstood varietal.
$20/person 2pm-3:30pm
Hosted at manna's auxiliary bar Bourgie Nights.
All proceeds benefit the Ellie White Foundation http://www.elliewhitefoundation.org
