Preservation Chicago's 2017 "Chicago 7 Most Endangered" Coach Tour
Please join Preservation Chicago for a Chicago 7 Coach Tour of our 2017 Most Endangered. Saturday June 3rd 10am to 3pm $35 per person, which includes box lunch from The Goddess and The Grocer. Round trip from 4410 N. Ravenswood Ave.
Learn why we have chosen these as our most endangered and what these spaces and works of art mean to the city of Chicago. We will visit the Madison Pulaski Commercial District, Chicago's 20th Century Public Sculptures in the Loop, a stop at Jackson Park and the South Shore Cultural Center, the Union Station Power House, Cornell Store and Flats and Altgeld Gardens.
The tour will be conducted by Ward Miller, Executive Director of Preservation Chicago and Jacob Kaplan of Forgotten Chicago (and Preservation Chicago Board Vice-President), two experts on the history of Chicago and its architecture.
Beginning at 10am a luxury coach departs from Preservation Chicago at 4410 N. Ravenswood.
Come a little early (around 9:30) and enjoy some coffee and breakfast pastries.
A box lunch will be served. Sandwiches served with chips and an assortment of cookies for desert. Water and soft drinks available during the tour.
Lunch choices from Goddess and Grocer. Please choose during ticket purchase.
1) Grilled Chicken Club Grilled herbed chicken, applewood bacon, avocado, green leaf lettuce, tomatoes and Goddess aioli on ciabatta
2) California Dreaming Roast turkey breast, swiss, avocado, arugula, beefsteak tomatoes and lemon aioli on sunflower wheat
3) Wicker Park (Vegetarian) Roasted tomatoes, roma tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, spinach and basil pesto on demi baguette
At 10:00 am, a luxury coach will depart from Preservation Chicago at 4410 N. Ravenswood and will return to Preservation Chicago's office by 3:00 pm
Preservation Chicago's office is very close to CTA's Montrose Red Line Station and Metra's Ravenswood Station. We encourage everyone to take advantage of Chicago's great public transit system. For those of you driving, there should be ample non-metered parking should be available along Ravenswood Ave. Please be cautious of metered parking along Montrose.
