Event
TEDxYouth@LincolnStreet
TEDxYouth@LincolnStreet is coming to Hillsboro! A group of high school volunteers from The Youth Advisory Council are organizing the event, with support of the Hillsboro School District staff and community members. Many high school classes are currently creating promotional and event materials, planning the food for the event, designing the website, and six local students have been selected as speakers for the event. Tickets will be $5 apiece and are only available online. No walk-ups.
What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@LincolnStreet, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth@LincolnStreet event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED.
