Write a Novel Without Losing Your Mind
Finishing a novel doesn't have to mean sacrificing all of your free time or your well being. Learn how to establish healthy writing habits that dovetail with self care and wellness, so you can finish your work without draining your energy. This interactive workshop covers setting word count goals, daily writing habits, and using healthy rewards to stay motivated. Dig into software and free tools, and learn how to build a tribe to support you through the ups and downs of writing (and finishing!) a novel. We'll cover editing and revisions, and why that harder work is the true backbone of a finished product ready to shop to literary agents. Get a basic overview of how to get started querying your finished work. Come prepared for a 30 minute writing sprint (with a notebook or laptop.) About the Instructor: Maria Mora is the Content Director at Big Sea in Downtown St. Pete. In her previous role as Parenting Editor at SheKnows, Maria contributed over 300 articles on topics like feminism and health. Maria writes young adult novels, and was a 2015 Pitch Wars finalist.
