A Homegrown Plot
You dont have to a conspiracy theorist to join us for Mays Third Friday at Hennepin History Museum! This month were combining two of our favorite topics: gardens plus history! In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the United States entry into World War I, were highlighting the history of liberty gardens, wartime homefront garden that supported the war effort.
We have an evening packed full of garden fun:
Master Gardeners from the University of Minnesota Extension Service will talk about how to grow your own vegetables, as well as give you the inside scoop on liberty gardens of 100 years ago The Anderson Horticultural Library at the University of Minnesotas Landscape Arboretum will be on hand with rare vintage seed catalogue and historic posters Make your own garden journal well teach you how to bind a simple book, complete with fancy paper!
Admission includes food, drink, and a journal.
