Kirtan & World Chants with Gina Sala & Daniel Paul
Santa Cruz Bhakti Productions is pleased to present an evening of kirtan with long term chanters/Indian classical musicians Gina Salá and Daniel Paul.
Come be nourished in wonderful kirtan and community. Participate as you like in this evening of mantra, groove, devotion and call and response chanting! As Gina says, "the mind rests in the heart, in these practices like a bee in the flower, and such sweetness arises! We remember Who is singing when we sing."
Come as you are, participate as you like. As Gina says, No experience or particular belief system is needed to directly experience the bliss of chanting our hearts awake to Who we are. Who is singing when we sing? Direct experience of our open hearts and oneness is what matters.
ABOUT GINA SALA: Gina Salá is a singer, composer, teacher and kirtan leader with a repertoire spanning 23 languages. She began chanting from the age of 3 living in an ashram and deepened her practices wandering the Himalayas, a buddhist monastery and in ongoing study with her Sanskrit, tantra, and classical singing teachers in India. She's been blessed to learn and share in a variety of venues, from huts on several continents, to the UN and as lead singer for Cirque du Soleil. Gina offers retreats, workshops and kirtans internationally, River of Sound tours in India, and private sessions in harmonium, sanskrit mantra, and voice via skype. With gratitude, humor and devotion, her passion is helping us to sing ourselves awake to the One in all.

ABOUT DANIEL PAUL: Daniel Paul Fulbright tabla drum virtuoso who has been a mainstay of the kirtan touring circuit for 2 decades touring the world primarily with Grammy nominee Jai Uttal. His training draws on 9 years of study at the Ali Akbar college of music (Tal Vadya Degree) and life-long immersion into the folk music traditions of the temples and villages throughout India. www.tabladaniel.com
