Event
John Train w/ The Youngers
Enjoy an evening at Wyebrook Farm with John Train and The Youngers
John Train was formed in 1995 by singer/songwriter/guitarist Jon Houlon and Mike Slo-Mo Brenner (dobro). In due course, Bill Fergusson (Mandolin), Mark Tucker (Electric Guitar and Steel Guitar), Mark Schreiber (drums, vocals), and Mike Frank (electronic bass guitar) joined what has turned out to be a financial pleasure and artistic success (a rare combination in these culturally lean times). To date, John Train has released six long playing albums including 2007s Mesopotamia Blues which was banned by at least one local radio station whose sponsors objected to its criticism of the military-industrial complex then (and still) in vogue. 2013s A Wig and a Wonder made Playgirl Magazines Top 10 list and was celebrated in Mother Jones as a triumph of spirit over will. In 2015, John Train participated in Jon Houlons No 2 Unalike series in which 150 songs were performed over the course of 5 consecutive nights without a single repeat. The band took a medically necessary hiatus after this event and returned to the boards in 2017 sounding better than ever. For more info: www.trainarmy.com Hailing from southeastern Pennsylvania, The Youngers were founded in 1999 by Todd Notobartolo (vocals, guitar, lap steel, and mandolin) and Randy Krater (vocals, electric and upright bass). 2016s Picture of You is the third full-length release by the band, following 2005s Output and 2008s critically-acclaimed Heritage. Heritage was recorded at the Cash Cabin in Tennessee and produced by John Carter Cash, son of country music legends Johnny Cash and June Carter. The Heritage record, which cracked the top 30 on the Americana Chart and is now completely sold out, featured an all-star lineup of guest musicians including Laura Cash on fiddle, Ronnie McCoury of the Del McCoury Band on mandolin and the late pedal-steel legend Ralph Mooney. In support of Heritage, The Youngers embarked on a national tour, sharing stages with the late Levon Helm at one of his famed Midnight Rambles, as well as opening for Marty Stuart, Lee Rocker, David Allen Coe and Wayne Hancock. Their music has been featured on NPR, Sirius Radio, and Cowboy Jack Clements Radio Show. Heritage also received glowing reviews by Vintage Guitar Magazine and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Brand-new for 2016, their highly anticipated follow-up to Heritage entitled Picture of You was recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium in Nashville, TN and engineered by Grammy®-award winner Chuck Turner. Thanks to their sizable network of fans, The Youngers raised over $20,000 for the project through an online KickStarter campaign. Joining founders Notobartolo and Krater on Picture of You are bandmates Matt Thren (guitar) and Bruce Kissinger (drums). Nashville-based session ace Tony Harrell added some finishing touches on keys. Picture of You will be available for purchase beginning September 16, 2016, and is available on CD and digital download from the bands website: www.theyoungers.com
SUMMER STARLIGHT SERIES We had so much fun with the Summer Starlight Series last year that we decided to do it again and expand it a bit! One or two Thursday nights per month this summer, we will host a special evening concert in the Courtyard starting at 7pm. Tickets are $10/person in advance or $15/person day of show (kids under 5 are free). We will have physical tickets for sale in the Market or you can buy them online by clicking the links below. We are only selling up to 300 tickets for each concert, so we highly encourage you to buy them early.

Food: There are two options that night: The indoor seating in our Market that night is available by reservations here and will have our normal dinner menu. If you make a reservation, you will be inside. You will not have to purchase a ticket but will not hear the music. All outdoor tables will require purchased tickets for the concert. Reservations for the concert are not required or available. Outdoor concert seating will be available on a first come, first served basis; doors opening at 6pm. We will offer table service (with waitstaff) for our seated guests in our courtyard, under the pavilion, and in overflow seating down below the wall near the stage. We will be featuring a special, limited menu prepared only for our Summer Starlight Concert Series. Limited lawn seating will be available- guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair. As always, Wyebrook is a BYOB but outside food is NOT permitted for this event.
Parking: We will open one of our pastures for parking, handicap parking available located closer to the Market. Valid handicap parking permit is required.
Dogs: You are welcome to bring your dog to Wyebrook Farm, but we do require that your dog is friendly, on a leash at all times and that you pick up after them.
Children: Because we have a very limited amount of seats for these concerts, children are welcome but everyone over 5 will need a ticket.
Weather: We will do our best to keep the shows on because most of the bands are traveling a good distance to come play at Wyebrook. However, in the event of a cancelation due to severe weather, purchased tickets will be refunded. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
