Tobacco and Prescription & Opioid Drug Misuse Prevention
National Prevention Week is held each year during the third week of Maynear the start of summer. According to SAMHSAs National Survey on Drug Use and Health, adolescents and full-time college students most often use substances for the first time during June or July.
This training will raise awareness about Tobacco and Prescription & Opioid Drug Misuse Prevention to members and their families. 2 NBCC credits will be awarded for attendees.
Learning Objectives Involve communities in raising awareness about behavioral health issues and implementing prevention strategies; Foster partnerships and collaboration with federal agencies and national organizations dedicated to behavioral and public health; and Promote and disseminate quality behavioral health resources and publications
