Tony Gouveia has emerged as an imposing voice of a new generation of fado singers in North America. Fado is the urban folk from Portugal. He possesses a deep passion and authentic vocal expression for this genre of Portuguese music. His performances offer a variety of styles, from the very slow melancholic to the upbeat and pleasantly piquant.
