Happy Hour with Celebrity Chef Fabio Viviani
Join us at The Snaidero Showroom at the Merchandise Mart (222 W Merchandise Mart Plaza)to launch Celebrity Chef Fabio's new cookbook, "Fabio's 30-Minute Italian: Over 100 Fabulous, Quick and Easy Recipes".
Fabio will conduct a cooking demonstration. Wine and recipes from the book will be served. Books will be available for purchase and Fabio will be happy to personalize and sign books!
A portion of the proceeds will go to Saturday Place.
What is Saturday Place?
Saturday Place is an enrichment program for 3rd and 4th grade Chicago Public School students who are performing at least one year below grade level. Its a once-a-week program comprised of activities quite different from the typical classroom. Our program provides support in reading, writing, math, social studies, and scienceand has been proven to help students gain confidence and raise their grades in their regular classrooms.
The program is hosted every Saturday at UIC, the perfect environment in which to learn, grow and gain the confidence needed to succeed. We focus on 3rd and 4th grade students, as these grade levels have been found to be the most influential in a child's literacy development. We help equip students with the knowledge and motivation to pursue higher education. Students have the opportunity to experience things they'll never forget, that might even start to shape a path in life they never considered before.
