A DAY AT THE SEA WITH OYSTER BILL WHITBECK
Please join us for a day at the sea with Bill Whitbeck, better known as Oyster Bill. Bill is the Manager of Taylor Shellfish Restaurant Direct Sales Department. Under his leadership, this department has developed from selling shellfish at Seattle area farmers markets to a department that delivers to about 200 restaurants in the Puget Sound region! Bill loves the day-to-day contact he has with the best chefs in the area, and he enjoys teaching new chefs and restaurant staff about shellfish. He says,"There is nothing I enjoy more than hearing a chef rave about our product."
The day will include a shuttle ride from Cedarbrook Lodge where we will embark on a days journey north to the Chuckanut trail to experience an amazing oyster tasting at Taylor Shellfish north. Along the way we will stop at the quaint, little town of Edison to browse the local crafts and of course to stock up on cheese, charcuterie and freshly baked bread.
On our return we will pull into Rexville grocery for a glass of wine and a snack if you're so inclined. Also included in this once in a lifetime experience is a signed copy of Oyster Bill's book "The Joy of Oysters."
Transportation is included in all Culinary Adventures. Departure will take place at 10:00AM from Cedarbrook Lodge. Our estimated return to Cedarbrook will be between 5:00-6:00PM. On-site parking at Cedarbrook Lodge is included.
